Memphis Botanic Garden

I expected the botanical gardens to have more... gardens? The flower areas like the daffodils and hydrangea gardens were bare, and the “spring blooms” event seemed to be small patches of flowers along pathways. I appreciate the effort but there are more flowers outside the entrance to the gardens than in the actual gardens. PS if you’re just looking to take family photos with tulips, there are a ton outside the UT health center.

Save your time and money, skip the zoo and see the Botanic Gardens instead. Absolutely AMAZING. Gorgeous gardens. Incredibly maintained. Courteous and informative staff. Very affordable. Fantastic play area for kids. Highly highly recommend.

Since my family and I first came to Memphis in 2015, the gardens have been one of our favorite places to visit. While I would like it if The Way of Tea in Tennessee came back and taught Japanese tea ceremony again, overall, I really appreciate the Memphis Botanic Gardens for offering everything that anyone could possibly want in a garden from lessons to playgrounds. :)

One of the most beautiful places I've been to. If I lived close I'd love to have a membership and see it in all seasons. My grandson loved the kid's area.

I don’t know if we just went the wrong time of year but I was so disappointed it did not look anything like the pictures. I can see where a family with young kids would enjoy just letting the kids play and maybe a picnic. But my husband and I were extremely disappointed.
