Garcia's Mexican Restaurant

I have to admit, I was (pleasantly) surprised. I've grown up eating Mexican food (homemade) and, living in Southern California, Mexican restaurants are plentiful. I've heard stories that Mexican food in the Midwest isn't as good. Garcia's blew that theory out the door. The food was very tasty and authentic. They were very busy, but got us seated quickly. The staff is very friendly and we definitely will be going back after we move there.

Just ate there tonight, I have always loved eating there over the years but will not grace their doors ever again. The little girl that waited us on was ok, not great but she counted my 1 year old grandson to tack on 15% gratuity. When I questioned how it was determined when to add the other girl said a party of more than 6, there was 4 adults, 11 year old, 3 year old and 1 year old. I am not against tipping at all, should have been my option to leave what I thought, I am glad she thought she was worth 15%. She made almost 15.00 in tips, enjoy last of my money will be spent there and anyone else I can steer away also. Didn't realize till after I left, was charged $2.29 for a glass of water also.

Absolutely THE BEST Mexican food I've ever eaten! And the decor is adorable! My 71 year old mother doesn't normally eat Mexican and says BEST food she's eaten out! Our waitress was also such a sweet girl, my mother told her she's never had such a good waitress. We will definitely go back! Well worth the hour drive to get there.

I had a phone in order to pick up but was missing a couple of items, at first I was a little upset so I called them once I got home and noticed it missing those items and to my serprise they said I could get free meal the same on them for the inconvenience. That is GOOD service and the fajitas are great. I just hope they remember me because I still haven't gone to get to it yet. I recommend Garcia's.

Perhaps the worst quality for price I have experienced. My husband ordered a shrimp fajita. It consisted of 8 shrimp and approximately 1 cup of green bell peppers. Meal was warm. Not hot on a sizzling platter. My meal consisted of enchiladas which were horrible at best. We got 2 meals one soda and a bean dip. Total cost 38 dollars. Bad food overpriced.
