Amazing friendly staff! They were taping an episode of Appalachian Kitchen when I went by and they still took the time to chat with me about the museum, and even let me take my dogs on the property and inside the cabin to check it out. Sincerely appreciate it and I will be back. Can't wait until the weather warms up and I can hike to the cave!
Me and my family hiked here yesterday. I have 5 children ages 7 to 1 year old and they did very well all the way until right before the hike down to the cave. We couldnt take them. The hubbs and i went back later and were able to get in the cave. We for sure want to go back and go further. Its definitely worth it!
Well maintained, and marked. Easy loop with a pretty cool cave at the halfway point. Benches to rest if you get tired
Great place. First time we went, we visited the museum and got a tour of the cabin. Second time there was a thing about World War II that they were having that day and it was very informational and fun.
