DO NOT USE PICK UP SERVICE!nnI’ve been trying to get my mother to use the pick up services at grocery stores for months because of the pandemic. I use the Walmart pick up all the time and it’s efficient, the app is user friendly, and the customer service is great.nnHowever, when my mother ordered from Kroger’s pick up service it was a nightmare and VERY suspicious, to the point where I’m currently having to cancel multiple cards of hers and request new ones.nnFirst of all, the Kroger app had her confused with someone in a different state, whom she’s never met, yet both her and his order histories were entwined as were their points, so she was not able to submit payment online, because it would not have been safe to do so.nnTHEN, she was told that they did not have one of the items she requested, so she either had to accept the substitution (which no one in my family will ever eat) or get charged a $5 fee. What!? At Walmart when THEY are out of a requested item, they allow you to decline the substitution with no fee (even if your subtotal goes below the required subtotal for the transaction, because THEY recognize that it is not your fault when the store is out of an item you requested.nnTHEN, when it came time to pay for the groceries they had her give them her card and took it out of her sight. What!? I’ve worked multiple retail jobs in various states, you NEVER take a customers debit card out of their sight! That’s how employees are able to illegally swipe your card to get its information! That is outrageous! They should have had a portable card swiper to bring out to the car. I myself have had to use portable card swipers, it’s not difficult any idiot can use them. So, naturally, my mother was uncomfortable with this and asked to go inside to pay and they refused and said it wasn’t possible, because it was in an employees only area and they refused to do the transaction on a separate cash register. Also THEY WANTED HER PIN NUMBER! You never need that when processing a payment for a customer! I’ve had to process payments for customers that ask for PIN numbers an there are plenty of ways to override that, who was this person Kroger’s has working the 9:00am-10:00am slot at their Sunday pick up service? Then they clearly had something wrong (or were doing something sketch) with their scanners, because they said the card was decline when it had money on it, so they demanded a SECOND card and again refused to let her go in herself.nnSo now I’m having to cancel both cards, AND figure out what to do with the substitution that was forced on her, AND figure out what’s wrong with her rewards account on the app AND listen to her vent about how rude the employee was to her. Needless to say, we will never use this service again. Fortunately, if there are any fraudulent charges on either of my moms cards we know EXACTLY who to press charges against.

Employees are amazing but no one wears masks. Keep yourself safe and order online to avoid exposing yourself to COVID-19 variants.

Used the pharmacy. I dislike the walk up window, but the tech was very helpful and super nice.

I have been using click list for a while off and on and most of the time it has worked out great! These past few times however any type of berries I have gotten they have been soft or molded....fresh for everyone? I think not!

Shelves are not restocked on sale items enough. Really lacking in frozen foods.
