I hope anyone considering shopping here reads this review. This year, I became a single mother. Out on my own for the first time in my life. I am not a naive person, but I am very trusting when people say they'll treat me right. I went to the lot on a Tuesday in March of 2017, I asked for a reasonable car. I didn't need much, just reliable and A to B. I wasn't overly concerned with appearance or anything fancy. Just something to get me and my daughter where we needed to be. They pointed me in the direction of a 2004 chevy impala. Reasonably priced. I knew nothing of cars. Not one thing. And I was doing this alone, mind you. I paid $2400 down and set up monthly payments. No financing, buy there, pay there. All well and good. I was told if anything went wrong with the car to come back, they'd help me take care of it.nI named her Cheryl. A week after I bought Cheryl, she began making a loud roaring sound. No big deal, she needed a wheel bearing. I called to ask if they could help me fix it, I'd pay for parts and labor or whatever, because they work on the cars and I was met with nothing. They told me there wasn't anything they could do. So with the help of my brother, we got the wheel bearing replaced and all was well again.nA few days after that, I get a letter in the mail letting me know there was a recall on my car. That I needed to take her to the nearest chevy dealership so they could fix an oil leak on the exhaust manifold which was causing these cars to catch fire.nAfter doing some research, I discovered this recall was set in 2014. And every owner of the vehicle was notified, except they had never had it fixed. It wasn't a huge deal, as it was free to fix, just not convenient for a single mother who desperately needed her car.nMoving on, as I was driving to work on an excessively rainy morning, my battery light came on as did the airbag light. When I hit the gas, she barely rolled and the dash lights went out. I managed to pull her over and she suddenly began over heating. Coolant was bone dry and then she wouldn't start. Once we refilled the coolant, she started up again and went back to normal. Over the course of the following week I was stranded again. This time, I called auto mart. I could not afford to have her towed or worked on. The alternator had gone out. Not an expensive fix, but definitely not convenient considering I couldn't afford to have her towed and repaired until payday. On the phone, I was told the owner was on vacation and to call back in about 10 days. TEN DAYS. But they would see what they could do. So I left Cheryl with the Lord. By that I mean I broke down at a church and begged them not to tow her away, promising I'd have her moved before Sunday service.nI went down to auto mart and spoke with them in person. I explained my problem and was told to call someone to tow it and get it fixed. The man there made me feel stupid for not knowing exactly what was wrong with the car and I was given no help.nGranted most of this is my own fault for believing people when they say they'll help if anything goes wrong.nSo, once again with my brothers help, we get Cheryl home. We get the alternator fixed and replaced and she starts running again.nNext, the fuel. Every morning, I put $10 of gas in Cheryl. By the time I got to work, roughly 30 minutes, I was out of gas again. Fuel gauge was going out. She began over heating again. Leak in either the coolant or the water pump. Then her transmission begins slipping.nEvery time I fixed a problem, two more showed up. When I asked if there was any way I could trade Cheryl in for something that actually worked I was told that was the best car they had for the miles. Basically, they wouldn't take her back and they wouldn't let me pay my bill two weeks late so I could have her fixed. In fact, the only time they were interested in talking to me was when I didn't make my payment at the beginning of this month. Then they called me every day. Yesterday, I bought a car from a reputable dealer and dumped Cheryl off to auto mart. DO NOT GO HERE.
