Cherokee Removal Memorial

It was a fun way to see some history and observe the wildlife. Would recommend going to see this.

Beautiful Memorial with well-maintained grounds. The sad history of how America, through deceit, took the land and relocated the Cherokee Nation. The Trail of Tears is the story told of that injustice, the suffering and death of thousands as they were forced from their homeland.

This is a very interesting memorial and makes us stop and think of the severity/sadness of what happened on the Trail of Tears. The woman inside of the center is very knowledgeable (I wish I had her name) and gave such interesting facts about the event, as well as answered many of our questions. Definitely a place to visit

Very educational. But so sad at the same time . This is the place where White man moved the Cherokee's and the Creek across the Mississippi river onto the Trail of Tears .

Tastefully done, but such a sad part of Tennessee's and America's history! Just finished the Trail of Tears unit with my 4th graders.
