Head of Sequatchie - Cumberland Trail State Park

Off the beaten path. Narrow road to get there. Would not try it with a long trailer or large rv. Not much to see just the head of the Sequatchie river. Hiking available if you are in good shape.

So beautiful ud83dude0d the walk was easy and the children loved it! I definitely a must see, pictures give it no justice on how large the cave is.

So pretty and peaceful. Park ranger had loads of information and was very nice to speak to.

Beautiful area! The source of the Sequatchie is amazing and flows (at least in the spring) abundantly from the base of the mountain. There are short hining trails out of the valley, and one which takes you to Devilstep Hollow Cave. Entry to the cave is not permitted but the area is beautiful and serene.

Very nice area for a hike, but little to no cell signal. Don't let that stop you from enjoying a nice walk or dipping your toes in the stream.
