It seemed to be alright from my passing through, though as many of my fellow reviewers have said, the homeless have really made this their place. Not saying they shouldn’t necessarily be there, but San Diego for example has places where the homeless cannot be, and public parks are one of the places, so maybe Columbia should look into that. In addition, I picked up a nice postcard taken in the park by the fountain, and when I went to visit it, it was dry and not functioning, which wasn’t the biggest deal in the world to me, but it would’ve been nice. Lastly, the views of the skyline are pretty nice, as well as the view to the east of the city in the Midlands. Still, worth a visit if a resident or a visitor. Cheers.
This park is beautiful! But Sunday mornings it is glorious!! We have church for the homeless at 9. They come ready to hear the word of the Lord. It is awesome the homeless have a place to go to hear God's word with no Prejudice and no one turning them away. Thank you Finely! Thank you Yahusha
This park is beautiful, peaceful, and clean. It has public restrooms. Not the prettiest, but it's what you expect with a public restroom in a park. The pond is cute. The playground is fun my kids did not want to leave and they enjoyed doing cartwheels in the big open field.
Beautiful park. Great place for kids family and walking the dog. Don't be scared of the homeless people
Definitely a great spot for a family picnic. You have to pay for parking and where we parked you had to walk down a lot of stairs. So if you have young kids or a stroller it might be hard, but there are other places to enter. Only downfall is that there isn't anywhere to sit close to the playground unless you bring your own chair.
