Easy trail. Leaving from the parking lot (trail head) to the flat ground by the creek is a step hill. Head left at the bottom to see the waterfall. Head right to see the rapids. Be mindful of the electric fence that borders private fence. Views are nice. Go when it's been dry weather as the water table is very high. It gets muddy by the under pass at the 21 bridge. Foliage beautiful this time of year.
This was a perfect hike for my daughter (age 4) and me. The hike to and around the waterfall was the perfect distance for her. Leaving from the parking lot, go down the trail til you see the river and then to the left. The waterfalls are about a 5 min walk. We hiked to the top and back down and jumped in all the mud puddles. It was the perfect afternoon adventure.
Not a terrible trail. We went after it rained so it was really muddy so we didn't finish the whole trail. If you go down the main path and to the right the trail goes down about 2 miles and there is an electric fence, which forces you to have to turn around. If you go straight from the main path, it takes you to a beach area along the river, that is nice. The views are pretty along the river. We didn't check out the whole beach area as there were two people trying to fish.nBecause of the mud we didn't take the trail to the left. We will be back again when the area dries up a bit.
Not a long hiking trail but they do have a waterfall and some decent Rapids to look at. Probably not going to see too much wildlife here. It's really close to the city.
It was an absolute delight visiting this hiking trail. A very doable short hike to a beautiful scenic waterfall. In total 1.6 mile through and fro. Kids friendly too. Once you enter the trail if you take right you can get to see rapids and if you turn left you see the waterfall.nHighly recommend for a fun filled day trip
