Stayed in a hut. Very nice. Had a great time with other friends, but very disappointed the hiking trails were closed for controlled burns on the weekend of spring break. Most disappointing is that there was no notice of this anywhere. I drove all the way out there (about 25 minutes each way) twice to learn this. A sign by the highway would have been awesome. Or even a sign at the Park Office. No excuse for the lack of communication.

Was by far the best state park we've visited in 15 years. Clean restrooms, showers, park, swim area, and two fishing docks. That was just the camp ground we were in. Huge plus was unlike beavers bend they don't come through sneaking up on & harassing people at quiet time. If you've ever been there you know exactly what I'm talking about. Only sad part was it was too chilly to swim or kayak this time. Absolutely loved it and will be back. Have already bragged to our whole family about how truly nice it was.

POSITIVES: Amazing trails. The rocks are enormous. The area beautiful. The river is amazing.nnNEGATIVES: The trails are not blazed. that is a horrible thing for a state park ESPECIALLY with no cell service and in middle of nowhere. I have gps based apps and took a picture of the trail map and got lost.

We love to camp here!! Great lake view sites. Love to stay at Potapo most sites have decks.

as a kid i love the fishing and coming back every year to spend my vacationnor weekend there. and swimming!
