There are a lot of things I really liked about this campsite. Very tidy and well maintained. Campsites are decently spaced. Quiet. Beautiful view and (for the most part) level concrete pads. But there were a few things I did not care for. The (very) minor complaint is that most of the fire pits are in a place where you can only put chairs on one side. If the smoke blows that way you can’t really move and stay warm. The more serious issue I had was with the bath house. It’s a little bit of a hike if you are at the Juniper loop on the end and the bath house is designed with 4 private rooms with a toilet and a shower. Great, right? Not so much. They only had ONE private bathroom (out of the 4) unlocked. So you have to walk quite a ways to find out there is a line and then hover around while people try to shower or take care of personal needs because it’s a pretty far walk. Why aren’t all 4 of the bathrooms open? It was very frustrating (and uncomfortable) to have to use the restroom and have to wait for two people in front of you to take a shower. It’s an easy fix to open all 4 bathrooms.

We camped at site J13 with a 34' RV. The sites have 50 amp and water. The park is well maintained and beautiful. I was able to kayak from the site and the kids road bikes all over the park.nnA couple things though, there is no dumpster anywhere near the camping spots, so you have to drive, walk, or bike to the front with your trash. No one seems to work the front. When you come in to the park, the guard shack is closed. You just drive to your site. Someone does lock the gate at 10pm though, so you'll need to get in before then.nnYou can bike or drive over to Hugo Lake SP which is connected to Kiamichi. The marina there looked very basic.nnOverall, it's a very nice quiet park. I definitely recommend it!
