Rattan Landing

This place is small but it is a pretty good RV park. There are only 13 spaces but each are paved, most of them border the Kiamichi River and all have water and electric (30A) hookups. Each site also has a trash hook, steel fire ring, steel BBQ grill and a picnic table plus a waist-high outdoor bar top / prep-table. We stayed during winter and the WATER WAS TURNED OFF but there was water at the dump-station that we used to fill our RV's fresh water tank.nnSites 4, 5 and 13 are on the inside of the main loop and do not have direct river access. All other sites are adjacent to the river but a steep embankment prevents direct access to the water. Sites 2, 3, 6, 7 and 13 are pull-thru sites, each of which is large enough for trailers and class-A rigs. Sites 1, 4, 5, and 8 through 12, are reverse-in only. Sites 10 and 11 share access to the park's main loop. There are also vault-toilets near site 3. There's a large grassy field in the center of the park that can be used for outdoor activities, and woods surround the majority of the park. The park is also adjacent to a boat-ramp that has plenty of parking for trailers. There is also a dumpster on-site for trash.nnCell service was poor - reception was mostly 3G or less, and we were unable to maintain a solid connection. The park takes reservations but only on the day-of arrival. Don't expect to be able to speak with anyone about reservations, however, as the park is managed by recreation.gov - as part of the Hugo Lake State Park there is no on-site attendant that we could find to help. You can hear the traffic from the highway at night when outdoors but it wasn't loud enough for us to hear from inside our RV.
