Had an account with them. Wasn't much in it, only $5 so I could keep account active until I could start saving again. They charged me a maintenance fee of $5 , and now seem to have completely closed the account. I received no prior notice of any of this.

To be quite honest, I prefer a credit union to a bank or Savings and Loan Institution. They simply seem to be friendlier and much more willing to work with you. For one thing, you are a member, not just a customer. The loan rates are lower, the interest they pay is higher, and I have never had a bad experience at a Credit Union.

I have been a member of this Credit Union for 30+ years, even before the name change. Everyone has always been personable and professional. The staff has always gone the extra mile. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

After the great government data theft, this institution decided without prior notice, to cancel my teller/visa card. So imagine my surprise when I was shopping and it get declined. Also was away from home and couldn't get gas. Good thing I still carry a little cash.nThen I was told it would be 3-5 business days to get a replacement card. Then 5-7, then 7-10 business days. After a month, I told them to cancel the Damn card, and I went to Tinker Federal Credit Union, where I had a new account AND a new card in an hour.nThis isn't the first frustrating dealing with Oklahoma Federal Credit Union, but it'll be next to last. I anticipate the same inept service when I close this account, and none too soon. GO ELSEWHERE.
