One of the most well thought out and labeled trails of medicine park. It's pretty far out there if you are coming from the east, but well worth it. The trails are all labeled and there's a few options to choose from. 1 mile, 2 mile, 8 mile trails, all looped, and very well maintained and often traveled. It's busy, but so big that other people won't be a bother. There's also a lot of water front trail!
The best starting point for hiking the Dog Run Hollow trails in a circle. This trail head gives you access to Elk, Longhorn, and Bison trails, and let's you start and stop in the same positions without needing to double back on yourself. Elk and Longhorn trails are rather mild, and while Bison poses more of a challenge, it's not more than anyone with healthy knees and a good set of hiking boots and walking stick can handle. It takes a few hours to hike Bison so be sure to bring water and snacks (take your trash, leave no trace!) I can hike Elk and Longhorn in less than 30 minutes each, but I have long legs so be sure to account for it.
