Anytime Fitness

My apartment complex gym was closed so I figured I would try out Anytime Fitness for the first time because it’s close. Well, the name “anytime” is absolutely poor advertisement because it is not anytime. It’s 11:22 am and the door is locked because the staff doesn’t come to work on Tuesday’s until 2pm to open it up for guests. Disappointing.

This has been the worst gym I’ve ever been to. APPLY AT YOUR OWN RISK. I created a membership a year ago and moved out of state due to my work. I have called and called and called a thousand times to cancel membership and it went straight to voice mail everytime I called. The owner of this gym is UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I am still waiting to cancel my membership and the owner still has not replied to my emails or phone calls till this day. DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM!

We closed our account in may of 2019 before my husband deployed. They tried to pull payments out again this year but we’ve blocked them. They have no problem texting me and sending their financial group to call me about payment but, when I attempt to contact them no one answers even the customer service rep couldn’t get ahold of this location. I have emailed them a cancellation form and they said it’s not acceptable unless it’s in person. WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC. This is unacceptable. I do not recommend this location or company to anyone. Would give zero stars if I could.

Would give negative stars if possible. Changed owner ship while we were still under contract and found out the original lady we signed up with scammed us out of $175 for key fob deposit that isn't even a thing. When we signed up she said we could cancel with military orders if we had to move. While we tried to and the new owner refuses to cancel unless we pay out our contract and won't pay us back for the key fob deposit because thats not a thing apparently. Now we have gone into the location by our new house and they offered to cancel it for us but this Lawton location won't respond to them to transfer home gym to where we moved to. Horrible customer service and I would never ever recommend this anytime fitness location to anyone.nUPDATE: finally was able to cancel with the temple gym after having to drive and scan every night. But they only transferred my membership and not my husbands and we are still getting charged for his even though we signed one contract. This Lawton gym is still refusing to cancel his unless we pay over $300 to them to cancel. Worst gym I have ever signed up for, never work with this Lawton anytime fitness!

Not a state of the art gym, but great for that get in and get it done person.
