Shilling's Electric

They were fast and efficient. I was called back within an hour or two after leaving my number with the answering service. After that an electrician arrived in 15 minutes, and had the job done in about 20 (maybe even less minutes). Also answered our questions knowledgeably and kindly. Electrician was kind to my cat as well. Cat gives them 5/5 too.

I own a slightly older home (built 1966). Over the holidays--of course over the holidays!--the electricity started blinking on and off, like it was a brownout. Ended up calling a couple of electric companies, and the quickest to respond and with the least expensive solution was Shilling's--by far. Ended up the problem was a whole-house circuit breaker. Shilling's just replaced the breaker (duh), but the other guys wanted to replace the whole panel. That was the difference between about a $250 repair vs. over $1000. Shilling's has my business for good!

Shilling's Electric started out extremely responsive and with a reasonable price quote. However, the company lacked communication about work completion. After learning additional work was required to bring house up to code (not by fault of the electrician), attempted to contact numerous times regarding the cost to complete the work, as our original contract included getting the final electrical inspection. . Despite multiple contact attempts over several weeks, the company stopped returning calls and responding. Very disappointing. Would recommend being very specific in your contract and would recommend not paying until final inspection is concluded.
