Mt. Scott

Beautiful view! If you're afraid of heights you'd probably isn't for you, but otherwise it's fantastic! There's a parking lot on top where you can get out and enjoy the view and climb some rocks. You can hike up, but you'll be hiking on the road.

Great views at the top, you can drive up it, or some hike up the road. It can get windy up there, find a nice rock sit and enjoy the view. Then go further into the Wichita Mountains and go hiking at Elk Mountain or Charon's Garden, the Bison trail is any easy fun trail.

To everyone that drove 3hrs to get here and the gates were closed, yall are better sports than myself. I would have been livid. There should definitely be some initiative taken on behalf of the rangers to notify the public of early or daily closures. Makes me afraid to try an make the trip no matter how nice it looks.

Mt Scott was awesome! It NEVER let's me down when I go! This time we saw 2 elks and a herd of Longhorns at sundown! This place is beautiful all year round! Go during sundown for proof that this is God's country!
