This is a great place to stay. We were there for 1 week. Great open spaces for kids and pups, beautiful streams running down both sides of the park, with plenty Gravel road for walking. The back end of the campground butts up to Grandfather State Park with trail accessibility, we loved finding this. It can get quite windy here, and the gusts can be scary. Beautiful place to appreciate the beauty of the area in a relaxed setting. The owners have done a great job of not overcrowding, I hope they keep it that way. The WIFI could use some work.

Nice clean park, close to everything. Will definitely come again!

I was so happy with this campground. It I s located in a beautiful area, and near any type of outdoor activity you could ask for.nThe campground itself is very family friendly and calm, it has a small dog park, and a large open field with a beautiful View of the surrounding mountains. We will most certainly return to this campground.

We came up to the area for a fall getaway in our RV with our kids. It’s a gorgeous area in the fall with the foliage changing. This camping area is gorgeous. Loved our RV spot. The river is beautiful and close by. Lots of quaint shops, antique stores, and chain stores close by and in Boone. The only drawback to the campground is their bathhouses. They need to invest some money into them. They are old, somewhat rundown, and detract from the beauty of the place.nnWe were on the hill and had great wifi. That’s a real plus with teens. The trading post had very limited supplies and the staff seemed reserved, not much to say. I did have a very hard time getting through to them when calling. I had to call multiple times to reach someone. We paid $106 for a 2 night stay. Maybe those in tents are paying $25. Our stay was definitely more expensive. Having taken our RV all over the Eastern US, I expect better facilities for the price we paid.

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PLACE TO CAMP! The restrooms are ALWAYS clean. The VIEWS ARE PHENOMENAL. THE ENERGY IS UNBELIEVABLY WONDERFUL.
