We’ve been to Tweetsie before Covid and to see the changes they’ve made to help make everyone is safe was awesome. Excellent interaction on train with the kids. The kids loved the rides and the animals. The only complaint is how expensive the food is, it cost us $45 for 1 adult refillable drink, 2 kid refillable drinks, chicken strips with fries, 2 burgers and a order of fries.

Been coming her since 1970. Never get tired of it. always a good time and plenty of fun for everyone no matter how old. Ghost train was a great time 2 years ago. I highly recommend it. Good family fun.

Went on Easter Sunday, the first weekend opened! They were definitely not prepared to open up. They were under staffed which lead to an older attendee to operate 3 rides at one time. Which caused a long line for the kids. One of the rides on the upper level was under construction ud83dudea7. The ONLY funnel cake food shop they offered was closed due to short staff. The face painting & ice cream parlor on the upper level was also closed. The petting zoo were open but ONLY like 5 pets was there & they didn't have any pet food to buy to feed them. The train ride show was boring. And the park is OVERPRICED all together for the few rides & activities they offer. A family is better off going to Carowinds to get your money worth. Tweetsie Railroad needs some major upgrade ASAP‼ufe0f‼ufe0f

Don't waste your money. Mostly for kids. $52. for adults and this was mostly a 3 mile train ride and a short chair lift ride. Not sure that kids wouldn't get bored rather quickly. Not a lot of kid rides. And a lot of things wasn't even open. Even if you have to spend a little more money go somewhere else.

My family visited Tweetsie Railroad on Sunday 4 April 2021. This was our fourth visit to the park over the past several years, but our first visit during the pandemic. Overall, my children loved every moment and had a fantastic experience. In this review I intend to share observations from a parent’s perspective in case it is helpful to any other families. Note that our visit occurred on their second day open for the season so it’s likely that the park and its staff are still working out early-season kinks.nnMasks. A significant number of guests (adults and children) were not wearing masks. There were times when I did a quick count and nearly half of the people in sight were not wearing masks. There was only one time when I observed a ride operator tell a family to put masks on or else they wouldn’t be allowed to ride. Since everything is outdoors, there was never a time that I felt unsafe due to others not wearing masks, but it was a bit unnerving to be near so many people disregarding North Carolina’s mask mandate. It was also disappointing that most of Tweetsie’s staff turned a blind eye to it.nnSmoking. I don’t know the smoking rules at Tweetsie, but I was shocked at the number of people who were walking around smoking cigarettes. It’s just not something I expected to encounter here.nnTrain rides. We rode the train three times. After our reserved ride, we asked cowboys if there was extra room and they found a car for us each time we wanted to take another ride. The cowboys did a great job interacting with the guests between scenes. For the best view of the show, choose a car in the middle and sit on the seats on the left side.nnFood. Pack your own lunch and snacks if you’re able. On the day of our visit they were understaffed to accommodate the number of guests at peak lunch time. I don’t know what was available at the top of the mountain, but at the bottom the only choices were hot dogs, pizza, and nachos.nnRides. Nearly everything was open. In some areas the same operator ran two rides. He alternated between running one ride, then closing that one to go over to run the ride next to it. Despite that, we never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for a ride. We walked right on to most rides with no wait at all.
