I really like the convenience of this location. And because of the limited amount of equipment, it makes me really plan my workouts and try using equipment and weights in different ways. Because I am in the Army, and we have a new physical fitness test, I need to use a hex bar for the deadlift. I know I can use a barbell, but the form and lift isn't quite the same. Also, there is no bar to hang from to practice leg tucks/lifts. I can go into Matthews for that, but it would really make the Y in Wesley Chapel more complete for any service member in the area, reservists included. I find the childcare hours to be more convenient than the Matthews location. The small space in the locker rooms does get crowded in the mornings, but I believe that the Y in general is an excellent use of the space given.
Kept clean, I got here about twice a week and I always feel welcomed and not judged.
Its a relatively smaller Y but with all the necessary equipment for your workout. Machines are all a little too close apart. One great thing i really like about here is that most machines have a bottle holder and a cellphone holder which is well thought through. You dont have to keep them down. I havent seen them even at some of the larger Ys. So I guess they have more newer equipment than the other big locations.nOverall it is good enough. I will revisit when in the area.
Super small inside its satellite branch, but its a great place to workout.
Wonderful staff, very helpful. Great price as well for a membership here.
