Michael Hilton is an exceptional violin teacher. My children have taken private music lessons for the last 11 years from several private teachers and we were very impressed by Michael. Michael loves the violin and his passion is infectious. Michael communicates with creativity and clarity. He used various activities in his lessons to keep my daughter motivated and challenged. Michael is a master teacher and was able to give my daughter the tools she needed to better her technique and playing. Not only is Michael a master teacher but he is a master performer. Seeing and hearing him play is an inspiration to his students.
I can’t even put into words how much we loved having Michael as our violin/viola teacher! He was our teacher for 3 yrs! He taught 3 of my kids who were between ages 6-12yrs. I purposely was looking for a young male teacher who could relate with my then 10yr old son who plays the viola! Michael was the perfect fit for him, he was able to show my son how awesome and fun music can be! Michael also taught my 2 younger daughters who both play the violin, he was able to adjust his teaching techniques to relate with them as well! Michael is such an amazingly talented violinist. I was so impressed with his teaching skills and loved that he could teach viola as well as violin! he was the perfect fit for our family, and my kids absolutely loved him as if he was part of our family! They had huge crocodile tears when he moved and we miss him so much! I am so grateful that Michael was their first experience with a private music teacher, he set such an incredible ‘love of music’ and ‘instrument technique’ foundation for my kids!
Michael has been amazing with my daughter. He is always finding new ways to encourage and inspire her. He is very patient even when she is having a hard time focusing. I have been very impressed with his teaching!
