The food is EXCELLENT! My daughter and I stopped by for the first time and definitely not the last. They have the best seafood around! The hush puppies are a perfect golden brown! Their shrimp plate is my favorite now. My daughter had the flounder. She said it was cooked just right! Crisp and juicy. The homemade slaw sets off the perfect plated meal. We’ll be back soon!

BOGUE HOUSE ROCKS!!nI've lived in North Carolina for 13 years and I have just had the best food I've tasted from a restaurant since the day I moved here! Bogue House is a little place on the side of a main highway, and it's very unassuming. Not a fancy restaurant, more like order and pick a table. The pulled pork is amazing!! It has so many different flavors to it and it's really moist, not dried out. Mashed potatoes and gravy with pickled beets. I don't know how they make the gravy, but wow!! And finally, the hush puppies. I've had them in so many restaurants over the years but these far surpass any I've ever tried. Outside is perfectly fried and the inside is moist and fluffy, not dry and heavy like they are everywhere else.nThe manager, Olivia is so friendly and down home, explaining the menu and answering any questions I had.nThis will be my new go-to takeout place! I'm sorry it took so long to get there!

Had a good time with friends down from NY. They loved the food and southern hospitality. Great specials!!!!
