Turkey Quarter Campground & RV Park

James and his wife Debra, the owners have the most beautiful setting in Eastern North Carolina for a their quiet RV Park. James kindly comes around on Sunday mornings with biscuits and sausages for breakfast. The property has a pond for fishing, the big sites are gravel with plenty of privacy from neighbors. The fire pits are great and wood and kindling are provided at no charge. Andy, his camp host is very nice and keeps the place tidy and running smoothly. We used the washer and dryer, convenient and affordable but not the bathhouse so I can’t comment on those. Turkey Quarter Campground is a great spot if you’re looking for some peace and quiet. No traffic noise, just the birds chirping and owls hooting! Close to New Bern for restaurants and stores, about 20 minutes away. Highly recommend. Will be back for sure.

This was our first time taking our travel trailer out and it was an awesome and extremely convenient experience! The sites are pretty spacious and backing in wasn’t a problem. The hookups were pretty close. The host prepares a fire pit and firewood for your stay. We also brought our three dogs and they didn’t have any problems enjoying our stay. The host also serves a nice home cooked breakfast on sundays which is pretty wholesome. We will be coming back in the future!

This was our first time here. The reviews were great on this place and we can see why. It is small and quiet in the wooded area. The price was right for the campsite. The HOST was friendly. The owner doesn't live on site. Our site was clean, level and had full hookups. The firewood was free and there was a fire pit and picnic table. There was no playground for kids, no pool, no hot tub, but they had bathrooms and laundry, which we didn't use.nOther reviewers were right: it's the best little kept secret. This place is perfect for a quiet getaway with no kids. The host was very nice and met us at our site. He helped us back in on our site and we didn't have to go looking for him to pay.nWe would definitely come back here when in the area. We recommend this place to all our friends and family.

Adding Turkey Quarter to my list of favorite places! Small, very clean and quiet. We had a nice pull thru spot. All sites are shaded. Didn't use the restrooms so can't comment on them. There are laundry facilities. Rarely does an owner come to greet you and have a quick chat but James did. So nice. Too hot to have a campfire but firewood is provided. They made us feel very welcome. We will be back when in the New Bern area. Thanks James!!
