Only have Matrix equipment(hate it), treadmill is hard to ramp speed up/down, safety bar is below waist height so hard to catch yourself if you stumble, and my hand kept bumping the down button when jogging so kept slowing down. Weight machines are equally uncomfortable postioning and operation, just seem cheap. I really like Life Fitness equipment which most high quality gyms have. I did like the staff and facility overall though.
This planet fitness had different cardio machines compared to other planet fitness facilities. I enjoyed the tread mill more at this place because there was many options to choose. I particularly enjoyed the Sprinting option. Which I was trained to do in athletics in my life. Yet there usually wasn't a treadmill that had that capability. Overall the facility was really spacious and not packed. Wish they stayed open longer than 10pm. I also liked the different style of hydro water massage bed because it was positioned at a lounging incline. Instead of flat or only being a massage chair.
First time visit. The staff was AWESOME. The equipment like new and in working order. This was at the Arden location. I am waiting on the Asheville location to open. It is closer to my house. But still a good first time experience for sure.
I just moved to Asheville and looking for a Planet Fitness close to me. I am a member. The tanning booths are filthy at this location. Stand up booth hair all over the floor. You can tell it’s been awhile since bulbs changed. The mirror on back of door has not been cleaned. They need to do some serious cleaning. In those rooms. The one in Asheville much more cleaner. Guess I will drive a little farther to get cleanliness.
Convenience. Can visit other gyms when I travel (with black card). At this location, whenever I go later in the day, there is always someone walking around with no mask. Please enforce the rules and keep everyone safe.
