In NC you must attend or have an attorney present for your court hearing if you attempt to reduce the ticket. A week after my violation, I received a ton of letters from different NC local attorneys selling their services to represent me. I called around to find the best option and Godwin and Wood got my bid.nnWHY THEY WERE SO GREAT: Thomas Wood was very nice and collective, informative, and he offered the most SIMPLE process to take care of this traffic offense for me. All I did was sign a mail in waiver permitting him to attend court for me. Then I paid a ONE TIME fee that would cover his service as well as any ticket and court fees. Mr. Wood was successful by reducing my offense to a non-moving violation (not affecting my insurance). And thats it. Throughout the non-stressful process, his assistant Phyllis kept me up to date with the process and was quick with communication.
