High Rock Marina and Campground

This is a small campground with only RV Sites and cabins. The owners were super friendly and helpful.. We unfortunately had a guy camping next to us who left his barking dog in the RV all day and also had a sewage accident which left a very unpleasant smell, deterring us from having a campfire 2 of our 3 nights. Also, it was very cold and the bathhouse was not heated and had very very low water pressure in the showers. If you are planning a trip here in the colder weather, keep that in mind.nnThe sites are very close together, but that is the case a lot of RV parks. There seemed to be a lot of permanent and semi-permanent residents as well.nnWarm weather camping here would probably be very nice because the campground is heavily wooded. No swimming is allowed from the property though there is a boat ramp and you can rent pontoon boats. The lake water is very brown and muddy - not the campgrounds fault of course, but something to take into consideration. Down-river lakes like Baden and Tillery are much nicer.

Good spot to rent pontoon boat for the day. Reasonable rates and helpful staff. Boats were all well maintained. No overnight rentals, unfortunately, as we rented a lake house with a dock and hoped to keep the rental there a couple of days, which was not possible. There are low bridges to be aware of that preclude you from accessing all of High Rock Lake, which was a bit disappointing, but good to know ahead of time. That said, my family loved spending the day on the water fishing and swimming from our rental from High Rock Marina.

Camping on the lake!!! After a few days of rain the sun came out and we had a spectacular time in October on the lake. We felt like we had the entire lake to ourselves.nThe owners of the camp were very nice and accommodating. Corey was a joy to talk to. The grounds, bath, and laundry were clean and working properly.nThe site we were in was tight for our rig and Corey offered to move us but after the rain we needed time to dry out.nGreat place. Convenient. Will be back
