I visit Wautoma quite often due to my husband's job. We often stay at the Borders hotel down the road. From the moment I drove past this joint I wanted to stop cuz it looked so cool! And the smell was intoxicating!! Last week I finally got to try it out and omg!!!✌✌✌ My hubby loves the brisket sandwich with baked beans. I tried the half chicken with macaroni and cheese, and cornbread. It was a knock out. I don't like bbq sauce, but it wasn't even missed because the flavor alone from smoking it was phenomenal...I also got us each a blueberry cobbler and it was amazing!!! This place is forever my new favorite secret little gem! Maybe I'll share it with my loved ones so they can experience it too! Lol. Very good brisket, was extremely tender and their sauces were great.. Mac and cheese and coleslaw were very good as well. They had a couple taps for local breweries and was only $4 for a pint. I would suggest passing on the bourbon bread pudding though. They need a spicy BBQ sauce, they don’t have any with a kick.

BBQ was great, authentic BBQ not some made ahead frozen bologna or pre-made dish from a food distributor. Will definitely be back. Only qualms I have is water would have been nice if it was in the fountain dispenser and if the cornbread was warm or maybe served with a butter packet. Either way meat was great.

Best BBQ around! So yummy and the prices are reasonable! They are closed for the winter but will open up in spring 2021!

This place is outstanding, they have hit the nail on the head of how traditional barbecue is done, with every single meat smoked to perfection (beef brisket, pork butt, baby back ribs, and burnt ends) and sides like collard greens, grits, baked beans and mac and cheese. Its hard to get barbecue like this anywhere with in 100 miles, but this place is definitely a go to place if your in the area. Not to mention their smoker is a 70s Kenworth that is a piece of art! Iv been there multiple times and will be there for many more good times! Fantastic outdoor seating with a great view of Silver lake!
