Probably one of the more underrated chain restaurants in hickory. The place is always clean, service always is courteous and friendly, food is always fresh tasting and hot. The prices are hard to beat for all you get and its actually good tasting. Never over greasy or stale tasting. Definitely a place I go when I want a quick fish meal or sandwich. Fries are actually some of the best fast food fries around.

If I could give them negative stars and still leave a review, I would. I will say though, I love the free additive they gave. What additive you might ask? HAIR!!! And to top it all off, the shrimp given to us was raw! Never ever would I choose this place again.
My family and I have been attending Captain Ds, Hickory NC. for many years regularly. We are sad because we decided not to go there anymore ... in this pandemic several times we went to buy food and none of the employees wear masks ... not even the manager, not even when they are attending ... the girl who attended us this Sunday (Mar. 7/2021- 12:14Pm.) was picking her nose in when she was packing our food ...This is unacceptable at this time of contamination that we are experiencing.
