It had a 1 hour wait so we left
Very good food. Usually busy but worth the wait. Only ever had one waitress that was not very good but then again everyone has off days and I’m sure she is usually very good. Love the hostess! Netty I believe is her name. Very sweet and welcoming. Always a clean place and an awesome place for breakfast all day. Stop by and I’m sure you’ll like it. Also if they have the buckeyes for sale definitely snag a couple containers!!!
Our experience here was better than mediocre but left room for improvement. We went for a Friday morning breakfast. We were greeted at the host stand and sat promptly. Our server was friendly but was a bit distracted. I had to ask for water twice & she never brought lemon that I requested but no big deal. Our food took a little long to come out but they were kind of busy so again, no big deal. Our order was all correct, however each of our eggs was over cooked. Over all the food quality was so-so & service was the same. I will return I am sure just based on liking particular menu items & looking around in the general store portion of the store. There are actually discounts on some nice items in there from time to time.nnEdit. They now serve beer and wine.
Over the past 20+ years Cracker Barrels have been declining in quality of both food and service, but this place in Hickory, NC is putting Cracker Barrel back on the map. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent (Thank you Sammy for being awesome!) If you miss Cracker Barrel of the past, and are driving through Hickory stop and enjoy.
We eat at this cracker barrel several times a month.The food is always very good, but the service is not so good. Until we had a young lady named Nita serve us. Let me say this young lady was incredible. she was taking care of several tables, taking orders, getting drinks, bringing food out and removing dishes and wiping down tables. This young lady was doing it all. I really hope that Cracker Barrel can see what a talented lady they have ??
