My wife and I met up with my parents here on our way home and was immediately pulled in by the smell of the food. We both had chicken and waffles. The chicken was nice and hot, crispy, and incredibly juicy. The waffles were also crisp on the outside and had a beautiful bite once you added in the chicken and syrup. My parents, who hadn’t ordered anything, eventually each bought a rib plate because of how good it smelled, and those were fantastic as well. The staff were also incredibly friendly and nice. From the woman serving, the those who brought out our food, to Velma herself who came out to let us know the cherry pie would be coming out soon nice and hot. Also, all the staff wore masks and they had a great outdoor seating setup. A wonderful lunch, will be stopping here again on our next drive through Tylertown!!

By far the best food around! Literally, there is nothing bad on the menu, from the Fried Chicken and Waffles to the BBQ Ribs. I have been eating here for 2 years now. The service is great, everyone treats me and my wife very nice. I would like to buy a franchise if possible. Ms Velma Jean and Mr Barry we must talk about that in the near future.

We were in the area for a wedding and decided on Velma Jeans Chicken & Waffles for lunch on Friday. Loved the place and the people there so much we returned again the next day, Saturday, for breakfast. Food was excellent, cooked to order and delicious. Enjoyed visiting with the owners. Would have gone back again on Sunday but they are closed on Sundays.

If you are ever in Tylertown, Mississippi you've got to eat at Velma Jeans. I was just passing through the town when I saw this well lit place with this heavenly smoke aroma in the air. We could not resist it so we ordered some. When I say everything I ate was on point, please believe me. The food was delicious from the Ribs down to the Cakes! To top it off they had very efficient and friendly service. So from my family to yours thank you for a lovely meal and wonderful service.

It's been a while since I visited but once again they did not disappoint. Service was great and food was even better. We love the wings, catfish bites, and the ribs. It also felt good to e able to grab a glass wine locally and not have to drive 30 minutes to an hour just get a drink. Will definitely go back!
