Dollar Car Rental

Where do I start? First, this company would get a 0 star rating if I could. Called their customer service line because my flight was delays almost 5 hours, got there and they didn’t have have anything saying that I called. They only stayed because someone else from the flight called. The individual who was there did not even ask me to verify the the charge she was about to charge my account until after it had been charged. She then handed me a receipt saying they put a hold on almost $800... which I was only budgeting for what the quote was. I looked at the receipt and she asked if there was an issue, I stated yes, looked at my bank account and the money was already gone. Instead of her trying to fix it, she fought with me stating it wasn’t charged when I proceeded to say yes it was. Anyways, she again attempted to charge my card the $290. That next day I have called the dollar help desk and they said to go to the place I got the car and they should correct it, drove all the way back to the airport and they said they can’t do anything and I need to contact my bank. Well I called my bank, and since it is pending there is nothing the bank can do. I called the dollar rental help desk YET AGAIN and they said the best advice they could give me was to return it and they should be able to correct it. Well I again, went back to the airport all within a few hour window and tried to get it returned but they said they can return it release the funds (which would not have shown up for a day or so) and wanted to again charge my card about $450 to put me back into a rental.. that same day, and said if I can’t do that I’d have to get an Uber back to my hotel and back to the airport the following day or whenever the funds were released.nDo not book through this company if you can avoid it! Thank you for putting me in a bind and not being able to do a single thing because your employees do not show the charges they are going to make to your card before they do it.

My only issue is location is inside terminal with no free parking area for renting. The clerk was very kind and courteous!! Would definitely return!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Worse rental experience I've ever had. First off I was charged twice with hidden fees. One had to do with them changing my entire rental fee that was $100.00 more than what was on my rental agreement, instead of them attempting to fix it I had to call the corporate office and still did not get much help or apology. Second I was told that I had the toll package that I specifically asked for because I was traveling into south Florida which I know has tolls just to find out two weeks later I received three bills in the mail with unpaid toll fines. The toll fines came up to $9.00 but they charged me $15 administration fee per toll which came out to $136.00 total. This is absurd and the company takes zero responsibility for mis-leading their customers. Third, the rude lady who checked my car in did not actually check it in until two hours after I returned it. Which was yet again another fee I had to pay! She also did not have any interest in leaving the conversation that she was having with an airport employee to do her job an assist me. When I finally got her attention she was extremely rude the entire time. I will never even consider this company ever again!
