As an engineering firm we want to focus on what we do best... and outsource the rest. Rick created the reporting system for our FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) Overhead Schedule Report which we provide to government agencies we work with. His team provides their extensive background and expertise when we are questioned by government agencies regarding any part of the FAR report. We have had an exceptional relationship with them because of the trust and confidence we have in all of their services. With their Business Earnings Specialists Team working with us, we know we can concentrate on our engineering services and trust them to handle the payroll and accounting functions. We are very happy with their many services.

We switched to using Business in Balance less than 6 months ago and in those six months I am amazed the work they have done for us. From checking through our books to updating our best practices for accounting to taking care of all our filings and taxes. That is just the beginning, they are truly so much more than an accounting company! Working with Rick in business coaching and long-term planning has helped me build a plan and growth strategy for my business. All I can say is “WOW”. Not sure what a Profit Accountant was but I’m sure glad I have one! They quickly went to work on changing my business and personal tax structure and showed me how it benefits me thousands a year. They respond and quickly solve any pending issues so in turn frees up more of my time. Our books are always on time and current. Its comforting to know things are legal and transparent if ever I should get audited. They coach me to focus more on doing things that need to be done to increase my profits. Their system works when following the plan they customized for myself and my company. I would recommend them to anyone that is motivated to grow their business and their bank account!

Rick and his team have shown me how to cut thousands from my taxes by showing me what my business is eligible for. They’re in the process of cleaning up QuickBooks and developing better categorization of income and expenses. I’m very happy with the results I’ve received and how quickly they respond to me. I feel like they are taking very good care of me and my business.
