Walgreens

Absolutely horrible place. Most of the employees I've encountered have been rude, careless, or just plain mean. With regard to the pharmacy, I can't even count how many times my medications were charged wrong or I was told I had nothing waiting, go home and then look it up and find out of was there and have to drive back there! (seriously).nnI thought the pharmacy was the worst part of Walgreens on McCausland. But, unfortunately, I was wrong. The experience I had with a checkout clerk last week was the worst experience I've ever had at a store and I'm almost 40, have a central nervous disease and am very non-confrontational.nnThe employee at the check out was beyond careless, flippant, rude and inept. The cashier (on more than two items) made me run around the store and take photos for the correct price. This was hard for me due to all the walking.nnOnce he finished ringing me up I thought the total seemed really high (double what it should be). I asked for a receipt and I was told that they do not give receipts and I would have to wait for the email to come with my receipt.nnSo, I drug everything out to my vehicle and waited for the email. When I was looking at the receipt I was flabbergasted. I was charged for items I didn't even purchase in fact I was charged nearly $60 more than what it should have been.nnWhen I went back into the store and asked him why he had done this he was completely flippant and nonchalant about it. $60 is a lot of money to a lot of people right now. His manager rolled her eyes at me. He then made me go back out to my car and bring all of my purchases back inside. The icing on the cake was when I couldn't even get all my money back. They had to give me a Walgreens gift card and I wasn't allowed to use all the points I had saved up for my purchase.

Proceed with caution. You might catch COVID. Despite mask mandates by the City of St. Louis and Walgreens, Inc., store management allows customers to walk in and out of the store unmasked. Twice, I have witnessed store management not take action to remind patrons of the mandates. This is unfair to the other staff and patrons who are being put at risk because of other people’s negligence and propensity to prove a dead political point. Shameful!

The Pharmacy department is awful. I went into the store twice today to try to get a flu shot and they couldn’t help me either time. I also made an appointment that the person on the phone told me he couldn’t “promise” they’d be able to keep. I can understand feeling overwhelmed over being short staffed but guess what.....no where else is that an excuse. Either hire more people or create a new system of processes so that you can create better workflows. It looked like a bunch of interns trying to run a pharmacy without any guidance.

While the store staff is fabulous and always very customer-service oriented, I had a very disappointing interaction with a pharmacy staff member. Shannon (Shanna, perhaps, couldn't confirm) made me feel highly devalued and dismissed. Not only did I have my urgent concern resolved but was made to feel unimportant and diminished. If I spoke to any of my clients the way I was spoken to by her, I would be out of a job or at least deeply reprimanded. Customer service training would be highly warranted here.

Very disappointed with the pharmacists. They were dismissive and not willing to help me track down a prescription that had been faxed over. Stick with CVS!
