St. Charles Historic District

Whenever we travel, my daughter and I love visiting local historical sites and we were not disappointed with the St. Charles Historic District. The drive down Main Street's uneven, brick-laden road was an experience in itself. The quaint shops, verdant landscaping, and varied architecture of the buildings provided visual interest. After our scrumptious lunch at Magpie's Café, we relaxed on Riverside Drive overlooking Frontier Park and the Missouri River before heading to the airport to catch our flight home to Southern California.

Always a great weekend activity. Tons of shops and more than enough quality dining options.

Enjoyed dinner at Salt & Smoke. We were supposed to see the Krampus, but the Christmas Traditions book was incorrect and he is only there on Fridays...not Wednesdays.

This place is amazing and I love it!! I love the jewelry they have. My baby bought me two rings from there today. I would go there everyday if I could!!! It's such a neat place.

Great small business strip in buildings that are older than your parents.
