White Tail Trail, Parkville, MO

It’s pretty hiking/walking trail with water fall. Sometimes there are deers running through and sometimes tons of dragonflies and butterflies I came upon. It’s well taken care of. Start of the trail there are restroom are available. Through out the trail, there benches for relaxing.

The most technical hike at the Parkville Nature Sanctuary. It offers steep, rocky inclines with beautiful views across bluffs. And as the name suggests, there are many deer to be spotted along the trail. While a more difficult trail than other trails in the sanctuary, my 3 children have hiked it from 2 years of age and on.

Well maintained trail system with a beautiful waterfall. About 1 mile each trail.

I go here regularly and I’ve never been to another hiking place that compares to this one. It’s the best up north!

Took two of my boys on a long walk on the White Tail Trail, then headed into Parkville for ice cream. The trail is exceptionally maintained, making it easy enough for the five-year old but interesting enough for the 15-year old. We had a great afternoon, took tons of pictures, chatted with strangers on the trail. Highly recommended for a family outing!
