Martinak State Park

Plenty of room for walking. Currently the camping section (s) are not open, however they will be soon. Great place for painted kindness rock hunting. Beautiful views. Picnic areas, community activities and play grounds.

Enjoyed a scenic walk through Martinak State Park with hopes to return in the late spring to go camping. I parked near the boat dock and walked the trail. The park is situated off of the Choptank River. My visit was relaxing.

The park is well managed, the fishing pier is sound however; I went at the wrong time right after two snow storms then a ice storm so the water was way down and lots of ice chunks floating around.nManaged to catch two yellow perch on pink shad dart, with a cut trout worm.nIt was a fun day.

Martinez Park is a very nice place to camp at but I want everybody to know that poison sumacs is all over the place so be very careful with your children it's a lot worse than poison ivory. The park knows about it but every time they go to clean it up or try to they have to put their people in the hospital because that's how bad it is so I'm hoping I'm pronouncing this right poison recent sumacs it's all over the ground so don't let your children touch it

This is a fantastic family park clean and maintained friendly and helpful staff good place to camp picnic with trails and a boat ramp!
