Sassafras NRMA

Great little gem on the sassafras river. Very little foot traffic, plenty of places to fish and picnic. I would recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing, easy hike in nature!

This is a fantastic park with miles of walking trails for people, horses and dogs. We go almost every day to walk our dogs (with dog bags!!). Most times we are the only ones on the trails. This park is an outstanding asset for Maryland and Kent County. The overlooks of the river are unbeatable. Go and you will not be disappointed!!

Impressive and well attended by a diverse crowd of hunters, horseback riders, and plein air painters. Lots of wild rose.

This place is fantastic! The trails are easy and we'll maintained, there are wild raspberries in the summer, good fishing and swimming spots, and the wildlife is everywhere. We saw bald eagles, snakes, rabbit, hereon, and frogs/toads.

I've been coming here since I was born I love this place very relaxing.
