Susquehanna State Park

Very nice, has sturdy playground for kids, pond for sight seeing birds and numerous turtles as for fishing haven't tried yet small path that goes around pond. Picnic tables scattered around, good parking, $2 entrance fee. Bathroom are now open and very clean. If you drive around park you'll find trails fishing areas, certain areas designated for hunting. Archery range, and camping yes they have sight with and w/o electric and support trailers. Pricing for all camping types are available outside as you drive up to entrance cabin with procedures for getting sight. Overall park has alot to offer. Check it out and enjoy!!!

Fun time just remember stay on the trail me and my friends got lost and Google sucks up there but all around good time and thanks to the park rangers we got out safely

Feel like we got picked on by ranger, was his camp site close to ours? We got told to be quiet or leave. Meanwhile we could hear several camps being loud after we punished kids for talking to loud. Got woke up at 4 a.m. by hikers on trail talking loud and laughing because they bragging about leaving a pile of poop next to trail. Green trail I think. Sounded like they where in my camp. Also this I second time in a row that we had dog poop in our camp. Two issues here, 1) bad dog owners not cleaning up after the dog. 2) park not enforcing dog leash and clean up.nnBeware of land mines going to this park. Paying the prices we pay at a state park should get you a higher level of non poop filled camp sites.nnThe other staff members I encountered was very friendly and professional. Bath house was very clean for the age of the building and we were grateful for hot showers.

Love this park! My family has been here for both camping and hiking, and both are extremely enjoyable. This park has some of the best hiking of any state park in Maryland. I had come here to hike in hopes of seeing a bald eagle in the wild, and sure enough was rewarded with several along the Conowingo Dam trail. The wildflowers at Susquehanna are also a sight to see. The campground is fairly small, but not crowded. Bathhouse was clean and well kept, as seems to be the standard in the majority of the state parks I’ve visited. Fishing is also popular here, and there are many spots to easily access the Susquehanna. Highly recommended!

My favorite park ever!!! Gorgeous scenery, historic.....can make it challenging or simple with flat trails or extreme hills. On the Susquehanna River. Never boring.
