The Lakehouse

The positives: lovely room, atmosphere and location. Good food, maybe the best BBQ shrimp I’ve had and the ribeye steak was very good. The staff was nice and friendly.nnThe negatives: The service was very poor and disjointed. There was no apparent manager or host to seat us and they were not on top of their tables at all. We easily would have bought at least one, maybe two more rounds of drinks if they would have come by more frequently. They didn’t clear the tables and left unfinished drinks accumulate and checked on us very infrequently. Entrees were dropped with spent appetizer plates still present and no one was around to take a drink order and I would have really liked a glass of red wine before my steak arrived!nnPlease understand this is a good restaurant and I was their on a Wednesday so I probably got the B team, but I think they needed more training .

First and last time coming here. Waited almost 20 minutes for our drinks. I had the Blueberry “Mojito” that literally had one piece of mint. Not worth the wait. Corn and shrimp bisque was good. Our entrees took over 40 minutes to arrive, and they were not busy, so in the meantime we ordered a second bowl of soup and never got it until the food arrived. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles because they were out of the Scallops.nI only ordered this item because the menu stated it was served with Grilled Watermelon. Food arrived and it did not have the much anticipated grilled watermelon, but DID however, include a nice long BLACK HAIR woven through the crust of the chicken. No, thank you. Bill arrived and we were still charged for the Chicken and waffles. Double No, thank you. Husbands grilled chicken on his salad was also very dry. We were very excited about going here, but sadly this will be our first and last time.

The ambiance here is great. Our cocktails were delicious. I wasn't happy with my food choice- the sticky tuna my husbands was better- grilled fish.The waiter seemed to be rushing and wasn't very attentive. We waited a while before even getting water.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Best bar/patio on the lakefront. Tyler made an amazing Manhattan which I find hard to come by. We bring all of our out of town guests here after a sunset walk.

2 stars for Hostess, who was weird, slow thinking, and kinda rude, she might've just been on drugs....nServer Andrew was awesome and the food was pretty good. Bottomless mimosas on point! 5 stars for service and food.
