I hired Ellen to represent me for a family law case. I was desperate to get in to meet with an attorney ASAP and I was able to get my initial in office consultation with Ellen the very same day that I called. She was honest and forthcoming with her costs from the very first consultation. Compared to other family law attorneys in the area, she is definitely fair with her fees. I wasn't looking for the cheapest attorney, I was looking for someone to represent me in a case that involved the single most important thing in my life. I absolutely feel like she was fair in her billing and she and her staff were worth every penny. Ellen got me everything that I had asked for in my case. Everyone in her office has been more than helpful to me through a difficult and very stressful time. I was 100% honest with her on every end and she was able to put some fears to rest and make me feel comfortable and confident going forward when I was getting very scared of this legal process. She made sure that she answered any and all questions that I had for her at the end of every meeting, phone call or hearing that we had. I tend to be very impatient and I ask a LOT of questions because the legal system confuses me and I have a need to know exactly what is going on with my case, so her office got a lot of calls from me. They were always so kind, understanding and helpful and made sure they got me the answers that I needed or directed me to the person that could answer them for me. I will definitely continue using her in the future should anything else arise.

My relationship with Ellen has been a source of inspiration and information. She is determined and relentlessly advocates for her clients. I am fairly new to the profession/art and I constantly have questions. I can always count on her knowledge and experience and she has never failed to help me when I needed it. Our daughter died suddenly in August, leaving her 3 year old son with his father who had just gotten out of Angola. We tried to give him every chance to be a good dad, but to no avail. We had a lawyer who was very iffy about our getting custody, so we hired Ellen. What a difference! We have hope after Ellen's excellent advice and performance at the pre-trial, that we'll have some control over our grandson's future!

I am an attorney in direct competition for business with Mrs. Badeaux, so it would be in my best interest to give her a bad review. However, Mrs. Badeaux and her office staff are efficient and very effective. I can speak from experience that she will work hard on your case.nAs for the money issue the few reviews have complained about... good luck finding an attorney that works for free or a reduced rate. Every attorney in the U.S. is going to want to be paid for their work. If you want excellent service you have to pay for it. As much as I have had dealings with Mrs. Badeaux, both as an opposing counsel and working in cooperation with her over the past 20 years, you will get the most for your money when you hire her, with the exception of hiring me of course ; ).

she called after hours to discuss my case and was very open and honest about my options. she gave me the confidence to move forward without having to open my wallet for the time being. I feel she gave me the information to protect myself but also made it clear should I need to move forward she would gladly take the case all of which I am greatly appreciative of
