The Oak Mill subdivision had several clogged ditches and I requested help online from the Public Works Department. The very next day someone came out to look at the situation and within two or three weeks heavy equipment arrived and cleaned out the ditches. They even managed to notice a smll turtle in one ditch and moved it to a safer location. Cleaning out the ditches should greatly improve the drainage. I was very impressed.

St tammany Public works is horrible and does a disservice to the community daily. Don't bother filing out a work order or trying to get in touch with a supervisor. Poor drainage and clogged ditches are everywhere. Fyi, standing water equals lack of maintenance and poor engineering. People should loose there jobs. I live on plantation street in covington. From hwy 36 all the way down the street water pools and ditches stay stagnant for days after rainfall. Next step is a meeting with my councilman and then parish president.
