Hill Top Inn

The food was amazing however the hostess was extremely rude to my sister. My sister had to stop me from saying something to her. They wouldn't let us eat outside on the balcony either and we were upset about that. The waitress was nice, but we wanted to order just a side of the fried crawfish tails and they wouldn't let us. It was weird. The food we did get was delicious. Would have given five starts if not for the very rude hostess and not being able to eat outside.

Its a fun enjoyable place to visit bringing back childhood memories of mid-70s. This visit was not crowded (thanks to pandemic) like normal. Smell was terrific when we drove up, if air outside on the river can smell so good rather than like a summer river, we were discussing that we automatically knew the food HAD to be some good!

Food and atmosphere was Great. It was a Birthday occasion, we only had 6 people. Tried to make reservations but they dont do that. Got there at 5:30. Had 30 min wait ended up being 45 min. Did get out of there till 8:30. They should do reservations.

The best seafood around the area. Definitely worth the drive from Baton Rouge. My favorite dish is the fried seafood platter, but all menu items are great. Highly recommended over any chain restaurant.

Staff was friendly and courteous despite us walking in 10 minutes before close on a week day. Good food and good view.
