First United Methodist Church of Alexandria

We are not members of this church but utilize the daycare/preschool portion of their facility. This facility is great and very well thought out according to the ages of the children and the specific needs of each age group. The staff is all very friendly and helpful and the administration staff has always helped us out with all our concerns/questions and made a point to ensure that we were satisfied with whatever decision was made. I highly recommend this daycare/preschool facility to anyone that truly cares about their children’s well-being and growth as a young student.

We have been members of this church for over 30 years. Presently have 3 generations of our family actively attending. Congregation is accepting and welcoming . Lots of opportunities to engage and become active. We offer two types of worship services, several classes for Christian education, children’s and youth activities, something for everyone. Definitely recommend. A great place to join a community of faith.

In 2017 I was invited to come join the gathering at the church on Wednesday nights for food, 5$ for a good meal? I couldn't resist. I was not much of a church goer, I had awful social anxiety. With the bad social anxiety, my craving for the good meal and good conversation out weighed it tremendously. Well not too far down the road an intern pastor was leading a Bible study on Hebrews (who is now the associate pastor). I enjoyed the study very much so that I was looking forward to the next study every time. My relationships have been building within the Church and I have met such fantastic and wonderful people. I've also found more grace and peace in my life since I have been going and listening to the teachings that the Pastor's have given to me. I was baptized a little more than a month ago and so happy to call First United Methodist Church in Alexandria my Church family.

We have been members of FUMCA for almost 30 years. The congregation is one of the most loving and giving we have ever known. We are very thankful to be a part of this wonderful church family. If you don't have a church family, we would love to have you join us for worship, Sunday School or Bible studies.

I have been a member of this church for many years. There is something for all ages. Youth Group, Bible Studies, Ladies Group, Preschool, Day Care and much more. Friendly and very caring church. Come join us.
