Holbrook Park

Went fishing today Park was closed but was still able to fish on the road

Very good experience. The place is very serene and just 15 minutes from Sam Houston Jones States park. The host is incredibly accomodating. He helped us move from site 3 to site 1 :) There are lot of visitors in the park during daytime and it is a pleasure to hear and see kids play. There is a duck pond , a place to barbecue and lots of green grass. At night there is adequate light so that you feel safe. Only thing which the host can work on is ensuring that the restrooms doors close a bit slowly. Apart from that everything is perfect :) I stayed here with my beautiful wife for 2 nights and we enjoyed every bit of it.

Great place to get away. On the water and has a pond. Nice facilities and good place to bring the kids.

The caretakers are very nice people. The site is very clean. You can tent camp with or without electricity. You can also camp in RV's, campers, pop-ups, and vans. There are 3 sections to the park. In the summer you can swim in the river, but be careful..it's very deep. They have a fishing pond. They have a play ground for kids, a gazebo, a building you can use for parties or event, male and female restrooms with a shower. It's very peaceful. They are pet friendly, have low prices and are very friendly. I absolutely love it there.
