Crooked Creek Recreation Area

I have stayed here many times before and enjoyed it very much. The park is fun to bike ride in and the scenery is very nice. On our recent stay there were several campers playing their music really loud. There was one such camper about 80 yards away. We asked them politely to turn down their music. They did the first night, but the second night, they cranked it up. Some of the party members passed by and shouted obscenities at us. After contacting the administrator and informing him of what took place, we were left with feeling like he basically said, I’m sorry it happened, you don’t know what you’re talking about, deal with it. So, prepare for loud music if you go there.

My mom, nephew, 3.5 month old son, mom's friend, and I are staying from Thursday to Sunday. My mom, nephew, son, and I were confused by the map the office gave us to get to our cabin. And then when we got to our cabin, we couldn't believe the way it looked inside and out. My mom's friend made it out to be nice but it's the total opposite. The enclosed porch needs fixing. There are screws and nails sticking out from the ceiling, so be careful if you're a tall person. The screen that encloses the porch is in desperate need of repair. There are so many holes in the screen, I dont trust it to keep out the creepy crawlers. And then there is no lock for the porch screen door so anyone can just walk up to the front door of the cabin and try and break in. Inside the cabin needs a lot of work. People write their names on the wood that its hideous. The appliances are outdated. There is no microwave. You told to bring some things but not all. We weren't fold fo bring bed sheets for the beds. Just pillows, blankets, pots and pans. The window blinds are busted so it's hard to get some privacy from outside inside the cabin. The ac unit is located in the bathroom portion of the cabin. So when you take a shower you will be freezing when you get out. The grounds around the cabins are not well taken care of. Whoever rented the cabin before us, they were not cleaned up after be ause their fire pit area was still there with glass in it. I would not go back to this place go use its cabins. I was here years ago in a camper and that was more fun than the cabin. For the amount of money they charge you to rent out the cabins, you would think they'd take better care of it and update everything about it.
