Attended a small family gathering on Easter at one of the pavilions. Nothing fancy but very well maintained. The area was clean and has a beautiful view of the lake and a playground for the kids. Also fishing is allowed in the area which adds to the use of the pavilion. I would give it 4 1/2 stars instead of 5 because only one bathroom was opened for everyone to use but overall a beautiful, clean and awesome place for adults and kids. Definitely will visit again!!!!
We stayed in the Barbour Loop campsites. Despite the paved sites, most had standing water. The grass was a water soaked sponge. The odd thing was, the sites were set up backwards. The utilities were on the passenger side. The table and fire pit was on the driver's side. We dragged the table over to the passenger side. This would be a 5 star site if the improved they drainage and moved the tables and the fire pits.
We stayed in our RV in Clark loop. The sites are fairly level, however not well designed. The power and water hookups are on the wrong side of the site and interfere with setup and awning placement. When it rains the sites flood. The road inside the loop had potholes and tree roots had grown up under the roads causing large bumps. The bath house was fairly clean, however the water was off for almost 24 hours. The staff was really friendly and helpful. This campground is in need of major renovations and if done would make this a 5 star destination.
We had an amazing time. Our kids loved riding there bikes and playing on the playground. The view of the lake from our camp site was breathtaking. Restrooms were clean and decent( i was impressed by it having an ac unit).the only reason i gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because the pool was disgusting( in fall time early Nov.). I thought it could have still been maintained better even out of use for the season. Other than that we had a blast. I would definitely go back.
Very busy since a fishing tournament just began. Marina grill was not open. Very nice views.
