Ive heard quite a lot about Mama Gs and decided to try it. Naturally since they started out making pizzas, I had to try it. The quality of pizza was great, the dough had some nice signs of fermentation, the crumb was nice and it has great browning, I initially thought they added diastatic malt to the dough, which they confirmed that they do not. The sauce was flavorful, I noticed some seeds remained so this let me know that the tomato's have hand crushed elements. I could not tell if this was a cooked sauce or a raw tomato sauce but I'm going to go with raw since there was a good aroma profile. I will be back!

Ivan was an outstanding waiter. Very efficient and polite, but not overbearing. Food (pizza) was excellent. Homemade pizza dough that is nice and chewy and yeasty. So many house specialty pizzas. The Matador and the Mountain pie are out favorites. A must stop when in Clayton!

My wife and I recently spent the night in Clayton, GA and inquired about a good place to eat. Our hotel manager advised us that everyone liked Mama G's. To our surprise, this little restaurant in Clayton, Georgia is SUPERB.!! The food is absolutely delicious. We had a Greek salad and the lasagna. It's some of the best I've ever had. The service was excellent and the restaurant is immaculate ! are passing through Clayton, Georgia and you don't stop and eat at Momma G's... You have missed out. What a great surprise !

Called at 2000 hrs and was told that tables would be available at 2015.We arrived at 2020 and we're seated at 2050!nThere were several vacant tables available while we waited patiently , but the problem appears to be a lack of wait staff .nFood and service were both fine when we finally were able to sit and order.
