Beautiful botanical garden that is said to be Georgia's first. It has many varieties of camilla bushes, Rose's, hydrangeas, Confederate rose trees, rosemary, vanna lillies, blueberries, blackberries, tung oil tree, and a buckeye tree. Louis Leconte was the owner of the once flourishing rice Plantation. There is history here. Also, there is an old reproduction of a two room cabin with pear trees behind it. Currently there are no volunteers to run the office or cut the grass, so the bathrooms are not working. There is a place to fish and a trail to hike. I visited May 19, 2020

Be forewarned. This place is abandoned. Muddy wet roads make traveling hazardous. Nothing to see here though it probably was gorgeous in its heyday.

We gotta help keep this place alive. A lot of history that shouldnt be kept away from the people around it. Some funding or something, needs to happen.
