Good food with fast service. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large enough for at least one left over meal. I must come back to try the desserts. I highly recommend this place for good down home cooking.
I stopped into Matthew's Cafeteria to try the turkey and dressing. They gave me a huge serving, along with big scoops of green beans and broccoli casserole. I have to say that I was quite impressed. Simple, comforting food for a GREAT price. One more thing....I was greeted warmly when I entered by a young man serving a table. I will be back!
You know what, I saw this restaurant on the food Network with Guy... (Diners, Drive-in, and Dives), and I must say the food was good. It wasn't the best I ever had but it was good. I gave 3 stars because I thought it was too pricey for type of food they serve. Everything was priced individually. It was good but I was not impressed.
Food was great. High School monthly gathering with social distancing. SWD 1960 TO 1970.
Always the best!! Mathew's home cooking southern style done right is something that my dad enjoyed 30+ years ago and I still rerouted make happen any time I am in the area. A definite favorite, highly recommended!!!
