The park was big enough for a walk on the trail
Plesantdale Park really doesn't exist anymore. Over two years ago, Dekalb County Parks and Recreation sold much of the property to DekaLb County Schools to build a new Pleasantdale Elementary School (it will open for the 2020 -21 year). Before that, Dekalb P&R granted a youth soccer organization exclusive rights to have two fields for practices and matches. The only area left of the park for public use is a very small playground, a former t-ball field, and a small picnic pavilion. The very old annoucement room and concessions building has not been used for close to three decades; the restrooms are under the soccer group's control.
I love this park
Nowhere to sit.
It has given my boys a chance to go out and be parts and enjoy soccer games.
